Just wondering if anyone has thoughts on the overall benefit of SSD. I am able to get a refurbished 27" imac 2011 for the same price as a base 2012 27". The 2011 includes an internal 256gb SSD. The heaviest tasks I do are recording and loading large sample libraries for music. I occasionally rip movies to watch on Apple TV. I had thought about the fusion drive but as I have over 150gb of samples that I use for music regularly, I had thought that more internal flash storage would give me better system speed. Thoughts?

I would definitely go with the 2011. The SSD is nice and the ODD gives you other options as well. If anything, you can install your own HDD at a later date if you so choose.
