I have a mid 2011 Mac Mini that is having issues with its Mini DP for my monitors. I am running one monitor with the HDMI port, which seems to run fine, but the Mini DP to HDMI has seemingly stopped working. I had just plugged something else onto the same power strip and the colours on the monitor with the Mini DP went green and pink, then cut out. I have only been able to get it to work since on the startup screen and it cuts out once it gets to the login prompt. So I'm wondering, have I just killed the adapter doing this or is there a bigger problem? I've tried resetting the SMC with no success. Is there anything I could do beyond buying a new adapter and hoping it works?
