I have a 2011 17-inch Macbook Pro (MBP) whose screen won't turn on after applying new thermal paste to both the CPU and AMD chip. I've tried swapping over a 17" screen assembly from a donor MBP (a1297) but to no avail. I don't think it's the flat LVDS cable or the screen itself. Does anyone know what else could be wrong?
