So I have moved from the stock charger for my 2011 Macbook Pro to an aftermarket since the cables just seem to fray at the power adapter. The current one from amazon well its not holding up that well either. its got a barrel adapter to magsafe1 into a power supply with extra usb ports. for what i paid doing ok.

Now im on to something else I want to try and want you opinion.

I purchased on ebay today a USB-C to Magsafe1 cable. Coming from united states not from Chine (im sure it was made there).

I am looking for a charger for it. You think a 60 watt 3 amp will be enough? I see the stock apple was 60 watt and 3.65 amps.

I am no battery expert but will this charge a ton slower? Do I go to like an 80 watt charger?

Looking at this ravpower one

Any and all help appreciated.

tried it out and the 61 watt Ravpower PD charger will charge my laptop while I use it. I even have an extension cable. The magsafe1 to usbc works great.
