2011 MacBook Pro - incorrect battery status

The battery icon of my 3 days old 15" MacBook Pro shows 99% even though it is plugged in and fully charged. The magsafe light is green.

Today, the percentage dropped to 98%, even though the computer has always been plugged in when turned on. Both OS X Lion and Windows 7 (via Boot Camp) show the same figures and the menus say that the battery is fully charged and not charging even though they also say 98%.

Is there a way to solve this?

That's pretty normal. Don't freak out about it.

It fluctuates. My 2 month old MBP runs from 97 - 100%. If you really freak out about your battery, you might want to read this info:
