I have quite a few problems with my MacBook. I had to reset the main password, and ever since i did that it won't boot in anything but Safe Boot. I was told its because the SHIFT key is stuck down, so I grabbed a external keyboard. I re-installed Yosemite on to the hard drive and now its stuck in a black screen with just the cursor moving around. Anyone else ran into this problem? Need help.

Might be a faulty HDD or HDD cable. This will be very likely if you haven't changed the drive since the computer was purchased.

You can try to install Yosemite directly to a USB drive. This will at least isolate if the problem is internal. From there you can run additional diagnostics to verify what's faulty.
