2011 MB Air 11" Kernel_task used eats CPU

has OSX 10.8.1 - it eats 90% of CPU power. when i boot into safe mode, it's fine, so there must be a process that's loading in normal mode and causes that issue. how to figure it out ?

i was reading about what i found, bot nothing conclusive, some HW or battery issues involved, i disconnected the battery, running on power supply behaves in save way.
