Hi all,

I have a 2011 MBA that I want to hook up to a 29" ultrawide monitor (LG 29EA93 if you were wondering) with a resolution of 2560 x 1080. Problem is, the MBA can only display up to 1440x900. Just to avoid some other potential thoughts you may have, yes, looking for the ultrawide as I deal with a lot of documents and there are no gaming needs. I've had a 27" Dell previously that failed miserably.

So a few questions for you all:

Has anyone done anything like this? How does it look or is it not even possible to make use of the ultrawide feature? Can you post a picture of what you have on your screen?

Thanks!

Did you do a search? This gets asked about once a month. Yes it is fine to use a 21:9 monitor with a Mac using Displauport
