Thought this was worth a share.

I picked up an i7 MBA on launch date a few months back and it had been performing like a dream.

Last weekend it started acting really odd. I had just closed the lid the night before and then in the morning it started shutting down and starting up on it's own. The really bizarre thing was that if you moved the mouse around using the touchpad it would not shutdown.

I've posted a video on youtube to show the problem.

Thankfully I am not far from an Apple store and I took it in there. They had never seen the problem before, reset all the various RAM's and options and even popped the power button off to see if there was something stuck under there.

In the end they ordered a replacement motherboard, top case and keyboard. I got the machine back yesterday and they had just replaced the top case and keyboard.
