2011, MBA Keyboard Backlight issues / Questions

Macarians,

I have a 13" 2011 MBA, love it yardayarda ..

But I find the backlight on the keyboard weird.

First, I have set it to Zero, Off, no bars via the keyboard.

The machine goes to screen saver, and instantly turns them onto full again, I unlock the screen, and hit the keyboard light down and it will not turn off, I need to go up one bar, then backdown to zero for it to to turn off ?!

Every setting I can find seems to be set for it to be turned off, it happens on Battery or power, Power setting modes are all fine.

Is this the norm, or am I going to have to drundle down to my apple store and get it looked at ?

Adding onto this,

If the keyboard light is off (Set by keyboard) and I shut the lid and open it again, they are on again, and I need to turn the off manually (pressing up once then back down again)

Strange beast this thing.
