Hi, I am thinking about upgrading the logic board to a later year model (2012-2013). The main reason for doing this is to get native support (2012) for airdrop, handoff, and continuity or 2013 for improved energy efficiency. I've seen a few folks did this with 2013-2017 models but not 2011.

Correct me if I am wrong, I believe the fit will be similar but I am not sure about compatibility. Wifi? Ram? Speaker? Battery connector? Display connector? Are these straight swap or need workaround?

Get yourself a second hand 2012+ Macbook Pro or Air. IMHO better value than trying to put a later logic board into an older machine.
