Greetings...I am considering a 2011 13" MBP as my new laptop. I noticed that the i7 chip has "Intel Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (VT-d)"
http://www.intel.com/consumer/products/processors/specifications.htm?proc=52231
feature where the 13" i5 does not have that feature.
does that suggest that the i7 is better at running virtual machines vs the i5?
Since I plan to run VMWare's Fusion on the laptop (XP and Linux virtual machines)...I wanted to check with other MR community members.
Any thoughts/comments are appreciated.
