Hi all, i am about to buy a base 13inch pro and want to know something.
I am a writer and subsequently wish to dabble with Adobe InDesign from time to time. If I buy InDesign, what would I be expecting performance wise? I am thinking that I would have no problems at all but I am wondering if anyone has indesign on the new models and could give me feedback.
Cheers

the 4 GB/2.3 GHz i5 processor is more than capable of running InDesign. We have students here running CS3/CS5 with the base 2010 13" macbook pro models, and the 2011 13" have more horsepower in comparison. You may want to consider upping to 8 GB if you run InDesign along with a slew of other applications, but I would only do so after trying it out with your configuration

I use Adobe Acrobat Pro a lot on my 13" MBA/8GB, and I have had no problems combining files, doing OCR on large files, and editing. It's pretty snappy.
