2011 MBP 15" USB hub

Hi all,

I have a 2011 MBP 15" that I use with my dell U2711.

The monitor has a built in powered usb hub.

The hub detects in "system information" and says its connected but I no devices plugged in work.

Ive tried in an 09 MBP with the same result.

Any ideas?
