I've had a C2D white 17" imac, one of the 21.5" imacs, a macbook air, ipad...

This new MBP 2.0 quad is just unbelievable. I'm stunned every time I pick it up. Sure, I'm an apple whore, love their products. But this one takes the cake. I did get the upgraded hi rez screen and the 7200x hd options. I was thinking about going 8 gb of ram, but I haven't found a need for it just yet.

Stunning graphics, blazing speed, great form factor... and I don't accidentally hit the dang track pad with my thumb like I did with the 1st Gen Air.

I highly recommend this set up for just under $2G.

And, I needed to keep it under 2G and am not a gamer.

Same here brother. I almost went and got the 2.2. Had it ordered from the online store but canceled a day after. So glad I wised up and got the 2.0 from the Apple Store. That $325 saved went to an 8gb kit of ram ($90), and in inCase sleeve ($40). And I still have almost $200 left.

True; however, the increase to a 6750m is way bigger than an increase to 2.3 especially for the $200 upgrade cost.

upgrade to the better video is $400 no? Maybe you mean the 2.2 to 2.3 is $200...

anyway, for people who don't game.. or render.. pretty irrelevant at that class of card.

I've really been pushing it pretty hard and i must say I love the speed of new technology.

I haven't bought a computer since 2003, so the speed and power of the 2011 17" is gonna blow me away!!

A simple thumbup would probably do this reply justice.

I went with the 2.2, but being that you're not a gamer, you've made an excellent purchase.

Personally, I don't find the 750GB 5400 that bad. I use this computer in place of a desktop, so I've got any and every bit of data on it. I have a 1TB portable HD solely for backup/music/video storage.

Enjoy your new computer :)

Great setup. However, the 6750m is better.

Yeah this is a classic troll answer. You know what's "better" than all of those? Mobile GTX460m in an Asus laptop that costs less than a MBP. But that is not why we are are on here, is it?

Don't listen to those bottom feeders, so many of them on here. Be happy with your purchase, these 2011s are amazing machines! :D:D
