I am considering buying a 2011 13". The seller states that the camera is not working. I am not too concerned about it, but I am just curious what would be needed to fix it, if it is possible at all.

Given that the camera is integrated into the screen assembly, you'd probably be better off (both from a monetary and frustration perspective) picking up a new webcam instead of trying to fix/replace the internal one. I know a lot of people use the Logitech C920 with their Macs, even if the built-in camera works fine.
