had this problem from the start in BOOTCAMP, Windows 7 ULTIMATE x64.
in most games i get weird artifacts, tearing etc.

That happened with default bootcamp drivers, and nvidia beta drivers. just tried latest 602.2 - same.

puzzled, i thought it's the drivers, what can i check ?
* Just cause 2 game works fine. This tearing issue happens in:
- Crysis 2
- Crysis warhead
- Anno 2070

sometime, had the same problem in Windows 7 itself, in a firefox web browser or file explorer. could that be a faulty GPU in some respect ?

anybody has similar issue with the 2012 model 650m ?

But it's not over locked and this issue sometime happens after fresh reboot into Windows 7 in Firefox or file explorer. Bizzare

I'm more curious about the rotated photos than the gfx glitches. How did this happen ? ;)

mee too. used ipod touch 4th Gen. on laptop in safari it shows rotated, not in preview. when browsing the same in ipod touch safari it's rotated correctly.

weird glitch with rotation information ?

ANYWAY, i really need help with this. it's maddening and i don't understand why the screen tearing.

Why buy a Mac to play games ? You can build a kick ass gaming desktop withless money

there is no overheating when not running games just in Windows 7 desktop.
no issues under OSX.

What part of the post said he bought a Mac to play games??? Why would you suggest buying a desktop to a macbook owner??? Just because someone wants to play games every now and then does not mean they need a "kick ass gaming desktop".

Why build a gaming computer when you can get an Xbox with less money?

Obviously computers are made to do many things. Macs happen to be able to be able to do gaming, and everything else a desktop can - but better.

OSX uses the hd4000 gpu most of the time. Games and windows use the discrete gpu which is the one that may be defective.

I don't see many problems of other PC laptops. macbook pro has tons of problems. pity. apple makes such a ****** products nowadays. their quality control has been failed. apple can't survive if the idevice sale would be smack down due to the side effect of lawsuit. apple, bye, bye in advance.

As you see I'm using external display = 650M is always on. I use the laptop as station 90% with the ext. display. But sometimes I need portability.
No issues under OSX 10.8

this blows. installed latest 650m drivers 306.23 WHQL certified.
still same problem

do i really need to argue with apple to replace my laptop ? would it be worthy to reinstall Windows 7 ? such a hassle. i did a clean install W7 x64 when i got the 2012 15" and tried all the nvidia beta drivers to resolve these graphic glitches with no success...
