Hello all,

I just bought the new 2012 MB air (2.0 cpu 8gb ram 512) and the fans are constantly running at 6500 rpm and the temp is around 92 Celcius.

When looking at the activity monitor, it shows 66% CPU at idle and 5.69 GB of free ram(system memory).

I only have coda and safari open, and even if I close all the programs it doesn't seem to be making a difference.

I have reset it a handful of times, let it shut down for a while, and even reset the System Management Controller. None of these have helped.

I am coming from the fully loaded 2011 MB air and I didn't have any of these issues, except the fan did kick on during heavy loads, however on this new air I don't have hardly any loads on and the fan is running 6500rpm MAXED out.

Any input, at this rate I will be returning this air and switching to the MB Pro retina or a new MB Air?

Thanks all!
