2012/2013 27" iMac Owners - Dimensions Question Help!

Hello - I am going to purchase a 27" iMac soon but have a question that I was hoping a current owner can answer for me: can someone tell me the dimension of the BASE stand on the iMac?

I am trying to visualize how much desk space this is going to take up. The Apple website has the actual screen dimensions (25.6" x 20.3") and depth of the stand (8") but nothing about the width.

The stand gets wider as it goes along, it flares outwards facing the front. At it's thickest point the stand on my 27" is 19.1 cm wide.

Just measured the foot/stand on mine and its pretty much 20 cm at the front (its widest point) and 15 cm at the back (its narrowest point).
