Hi all.

Can anyone suggest which HD would be suitable for replacement in a 2013 unibody MacBook Pro? my partner would like a 2TB or larger option, but I am being realistic that it may not be possible.

Many thanks

2013 means it's the retina so if it's an early 2013 the best your going to do is a 1TB from OWC, Transcend, or a genuine Apple drive.
If it's a late 2013 then there are no aftermarket options.
You'll have to find a genuine Apple drive and again 1TB is the max.

Thanks for the reply;

Is a non-retina model just before they came out thankfully.

Then it's not a 2013.
The mid-2012 MBP can use any 2.5" drive.
Seagate makes a 2TB USB external that when you crack it open it has a normal 2.5" SATA HD inside.
I think it's the Backup Plus Slim.

Thanks again for the informative reply;

Just curious I can use any drive? is their any temperature sensors or such as in the i-Mac series?
