Hi,

I bought a 2012 27" iMac last christmas and I ordered it with 1tb hard drive. I was wondering if this came with the pcie SSD blade connector. I wasn't sure if it wouldn't be included as standard. If it is there and being unused, I was thinking about opening it and adding a blade SSD. Is this possible or will the connector not have been built in?

Many thanks,
Will

27" iMacs do indeed have a Blade port for an SSD and a standard 3.5" hard drive bay. One thing to note is that if a new drive is installed into the 3.5" bay the fan will run full speed unless controlled by a third party fan control software when booted in OS X.
