Someone is selling a 2012 cMBP. It's the 2.6 GHz base version with the 1 GB GeForce GT 650m, 1440x900 screen and AppleCare until Oct 2015. What would be a fair price? I'm thinking around $1300 but am open to hearing other suggestions.

As a starting point, you can check Mac2Sell, eBay (including completed sales), and Amazon for prices of similar models, to get an idea of what a reasonable price may be. Then adjust the price to account for condition, configuration, remaining AppleCare coverage (if any), etc. You can also check the Apple refurbished store to see what similar models are selling for.

I have similar cMBP but the upgraded 2.7 i7 1TB HD

Also have the Hi-Res AG, etc, AC until July 2015 - I paid $1440 for it Dec of 2012. I got an amazing deal - my machine would cost I think about 250 more then that model when they were new.
