2012 iMac or MBP?

I have a 2010 Macbook Pro. It's great for school and I do professional work with Adobe and Pro Tools. I also play Diablo 3 on it, although with varied results.

I want to either upgrade my Macbook Pro to the 2012 retina version, or keep my current MBP and buy an iMac for home use. Right now, everything I do is on my laptop as I don't have a desktop computer.

Assuming both get the retina display, can I get some opinions on which choice I should go with?

One of the many reasons I'm getting an iMac over another MBP is that I don't like feeling the heat under the keyboard while playing games (like Diablo 3).

Just a minor thing.
