So here's the story... I bought a 2012 iMac that has the standard 1TB HDD but was upgraded to 32GB RAM. When I got the machine I set it up, all was working great.
A day later, I purchased an 802.11ac wifi card, 4TB Western Digital HDD, and blade PCIe-to-SATA SSD adapter. I got the kit from OWC, opened up the iMac following their directions to the T, swapped out the wifi card, swapped out the HDD and added the SSD. I followed their instructions for putting it all back together, connected the screen (but did not mount it yet) and turned it on - nothing. Well, it powers on, makes the boot chime but it is stuck on this grey/white screen. No apple logo, nothing.
So I followed the instructions here: http://support.apple.com/en-us/TS2570 but nothing has worked! The only thing that "seems" to work is reseting the PRAM, where in fact, when I hold down the keys, it does restart but the iMac keep restarting and making the boot chime.
I've tried removing all of the RAM, and it makes the beep sound (no grey screen). So I tried adding one stick of RAM back in, same grey screen and nothing else. I've tried removing the SSD and reassembling, no luck. I've tried removing the wifi card and reassembling, no luck. I've tried removing the HDD and using the original 1TB drive, no luck!
I am at my wit's end as to what to do. Any ideas, please?!
