2012 iMac + Thunderbolt Display, Not Seeing Firewire Drive.

Ok I know the new iMac don't have Firewire anymore, but I have a Thunderbolt display hooked to mine that does have a Firewire port.

However when I hook my firewire drive to the Thunderbolt display it does not show the drive on the iMac connected to the Thunderbolt display.

The drive itself is fine I tested it on another machine.

Any ideas??

Im not sure, do you have another firewire drive to try?
