Denmac1 macrumors 6502a Apr 22, 2007 679 749 Lost in Space May 22, 2017 #3 Only refurbs are 2014. The 2012 has the ability to upgrade RAM as it's not soldered in as with the 2014. The 2014 base is only 4 GB RAM. IMHO, not enough if you want to do any heavy lifting.
