2012 mac pro recovery

Hello Im having a problem reinstalling os x on my pro and i was wondering if i cam make a recovery usb off my 2014 imac and us it on my pro. . Ive been getting unable for format drive errors . Thanks Matah

yes download disk maker x and use that its the easiest way to make an os x usb drive.
