Hi,
I've been a lurker on the forums for a while. I couldn't find an answer to my question after searching on google. Anyways, I purchased a 2012 Macbook Air off of eBay. My friend vouches for the seller since he bought a Macbook air from them a year ago. I believed him after playing with his and was amazed at how cheap he got it for.
The 2012 MBA I purchased is the 13" model, but it has a 1.7GHz processor, and if I'm not wrong, I'm am 100% sure the 1.7GHz processor was only available in the 2012 11.6" model and 2011 13" Macbook airs (with the Sandy Bridge).
Looking at my Macbook that I received today, I can confirm that it is a 2012 MBA. But why is it clocked at 1.7GHz?
Here is a link to the listing where I bought my MBA from. I offered under $750 and got it at a really nice price. http://www.ebay.com/itm/360694064635?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2648
