2012 macbook air fans during sleep

i purchased my my new macbook air 11 inch nearly 2 weeks ago and last night, i noticed that even after putting the computer into sleep mode, the fans remained on. i'm new to the mac and my old pc never had the fans on in sleep mode so I'm not entirely sure if it's supposed to stay on. another thing i have noticed is that it only does this while plugged into an outlet. so far, i have attempted to reset the smc and the pram. neither of these things seemed to have helped the issue. any feedback would be appreciated. thank you.

It's possible your MBA isn't actually in sleep mode. For sleep issues, you may find some useful ideas here:

• Mac OS X: Why your Mac might not sleep or stay in sleep mode
• Determine why your Mac wakes up from sleep
• One sleep problem caused by printers - solved ... and another
• If your Mac isn't sleeping properly and you have gfxCardStatus installed, try uninstalling it.

thank you so much! it works perfectly now. apparently it was because i had internet sharing via bluetooth on.
