Hello, and I hope who ever reads this is found in good health. I was wondering if someone could help shed some light on my question. I have a 2012, 13 inch MacBook Air, and I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade the logic board with one from a newer 2015 Air. I have seen conflicting information online and I typical work on and repair MacBook pros, So I have not dissembled enough MacBook airs to know whether or not this Frankenstein's monster will ever breath. 2012 MacBook Air Logic Board Upgrade?

My understanding is that you cannot swap in a newer logic board. Subtle changes from one model to the next prevent it. Also the cost would be prohibitive.
