2012 macbook air trackpad button freeze

two times now while just browsing the web the mouse click on the track pad just stops working. I can move the mouse around, but left and right click is gone. It doesnt work again until i reboot.

just wondering if i have a faulty trackpad or if the trackpad software may be crashing or something.

i have actually run into the same problem, but not with browsing the web. it has happened when I was in lightroom, espresso, and pixelmator. The buttons do not work and neither does tap to click everything else does work fine like you say. I put it to sleep and when it wakes up it works fine, but annoying nonetheless. i have a 2012 mba running 10.8.2, but it also happened once when I was on 10.8.1
