2012 Macbook Airs with TB Display - no lag?

Posted it in the Peripherals-section first but got no response so I'm trying my luck here instead.


Has anyone tried the TB-display with the new Airs? From what I've been reading some people experienced lag with the 2011 ones with Intel HD3000 and I was just wondering if this is gone because of the more powerful HD4000.

I had the Retina 15" and exchanged it for the 2012 Air and Thunderbolt display. I am very happy with the setup. I saw some random lag with the retina but I haven't seen any with the Air. I feel I got the best of both worlds, large screen and yet portable, with the combination. I got the base 13" Air.

Bought the new Air (ultimate) and TB display. No lag at all. Response is terrific.

I have the 11" 2012 ultimate air and it works great with my non TB 27" cinema display !

Im thinking of selling my old imac and my 2011 MBA and upgrading to the 2012 air with TB display, seems like a great combo.

It works well (no lag), but average temperatures do rise.

just bought a 2012 11" ultimate and with thunderbolt display, it's smooth, much improved than when it was hooked to my old 2011 air.
