I installed a 256gb ocz vertex 4 according to this guide, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJHM9jMRXLQ, but when I boot it I only get a flashing folder icon with a ? on it...
Just put back the original hdd and that is working, did I get a faulty ssd or did I miss a step?

Thank you for the help simsaladimbamba!
Stupid me forgot about pressing cmd+r during boot up.

I did not watch that guide, but does the guide include installing an OS onto the SSD or cloning the HDD to the SSD? If not, then the behaviour you experience is normal, since there is nothing on the SSD to boot the Mac from.
You need to format the SSD properly:
and then install Mac OS X onto it or clone the HDD onto the SSD via CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper!.

No Mac coming with Mac OS X 10.7 Lion or OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion has physical restore media included.

OS X: About OS X Recovery

If you want to make a bootable installation medium, you can follow these steps:
