Did the last generation of Unibody MBP's come with a high resolution screen that wasn't the matte finish anti-glare with the silver bezel?

I've got a guy willing to sell his 2012 MBP @ 2.6ghz, high res 15" screen (apparently) Nvidia 650M and 8gb of RAM with 500gb HDD for $1,500. I like the specs, but his photos show the glossy screen but he said its high res.

I'm thinking of buying it and then selling my current 2011 MBP with the destined for failure AMD 6750M, I'm hesitant on using it.

Yes they did, although originally it was only the matte LCD so that is what most of them have. Plus a number of people dislikes the glare from the glass overlay so they got the high res since it was the only option with matte. You can also ask him to take a picture of the System Profiler graphics/displays section to check the resolution. Attached picture for reference.
