Hey all!

Recently I replaced the battery on my 2012 MacBook Pro. (The usual age/lost capacity). The battery is an Apple OEM battery from iFixIt. I also replaced my magsafe charger at the same time because the old one had become frayed. It still worked, but I wanted to replace it.

According to a battery monitoring utility I have, it shows it's capacity as way over the rated capacity. And the laptop dies (as in shuts off completely without warning) at around 7-10% state of charge. It still lasts for several hours of light use, battery life is very good. But it seems to be 'off'.

I've reset the SMC, and disconnected and reconnected the battery. Any suggestions?

Furthermore, the light on the charger only sometimes lights up (Whether using the old charger that came with the machine with the partially frayed connector, or the brand new OEM charger from Apple). However, it almost always lights up when using my Apple Cinema Display to charge my Macbook pro.
