Hi

I've got a 2012 Macbook Pro 13".

It runs extremely slow, not what you'd consider normal. I've replaced the HDD, HDD cable and can't find any faults with ASD ect.

The Macbook now struggles to even reinstall OSX, it will say 7 minutes remaining, go up to 14 back to 6 ect ect.

Any ideas of what the problem is?

Yes, forgot to mention it runs really cold. But can't find a temp sensor down.

RAM failure? Try alternating one stick at a time and see if one of them is causing problems.

I've tried another battery and alternating the RAM, no CD/Keyboard ect plugged in also.

possibly failing/faulty sata3 hard drive cable, I still have 2012 13” MBP runs pretty well with catalina.
