2012 MBA vs. 2010 Mac Mini

I primarily use my mini for garageband and sibelius (music notation). Occasionally I have to use iMovie, but not for anything "professional". I ordered the air and am considering selling the mini now. I have the mini connected to a 1TB drive for storage and time capsule.

What do you think the performance difference would be like? I suppose the biggest challenge wold be getting used to not storing all of my files on the MBA. Can I access the files on the 1TB drive if it's hooked up to my airport without a mac attached to it???

I think the performance difference will be similar, but the Air should feel quite a bit quicker.

The Air is close to twice as fast cpu wise, gpu wise the Air is like 20-30% faster

I have the same mini with 4gb ram using snow leopard and just bought 2012 mba 13" base with 4gb. Will the mba be speedier. I do intend to uograde the mini to 8gb and lion or mtn lion.
