Hello everyone,

So a couple of days ago, my old 2012 15" MBP suddenly stopped working. It won't start up, stalling at a grey screen. It won't boot into the recovery drive, similarly ending on a straight grey screen. The bootcamp install of Windows gets past the Windows opening screen, but then shows a blue screen before showing the log in screen. Trying to use the recovery over the internet, the progress bar proceeds to the end, and then the screen turns blue. I tried creating a macOS High Sierra install USB, and it does basically the same thing, with the start up progress bar proceeding and then the screen turning blue.

I'm guessing that this computer is simply dead, with either a failed graphics module or mother board. However, I wanted to stick my head in here to see if anyone in this brilliant community had any further ideas that might resurrect this computer before I simply relegate it to the recycling bin.

So... any thought? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? ?
