Hey,
I am super new to this. I need help please. I have a mid 2012 MBP 13” non retina. I am computer savvy and so I have maxed out the ram about 3 years ago myself no sweat. Now fast forward...within the past 3 months I’ve had to replace the battery and the charger that I bought from OWC. Both of which were a success! I just recently cloned my 5400 rpm hard drive to a Samsung QVO 500 gig SSD and swapped out my cd drive for a Samsung EVO 1 tb. Again everything went smoothly and my MBP was running lightning speed, rebooting in under 20 seconds and loading up ABLETON in milliseconds. HOWEVER... I just recently moved to an apartment complex along with my studio and for the past week my MBP has been plugged into a brand new APC surge. I always make sure not to keep the MagSafe plugged in the Mac for long periods of time and today I saw the power at like 30% so I plugged it in and had about an hour session. I then leave and come back to it an hour after that and the computer won’t turn on, nor was any light on my charger and the computer was dead! I’ve tried the 60 second unplug, cleaning both ends of any debris, checking to see if any pins were uneven (which they weren’t being that it is a brand new charger). I even opened it up and unplugged the battery while looking for any signs of broken soldering or any foul play and there was non.
PLEASE DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS OR SOLUTIONS RATHER??? I am running out of options and my patience is running super thin. I have booked sessions that I am in the middle of and countless deadlines to meet. I appreciate any feedback!
Thanks and please help!!!
