2012 MBP won't turn on unless plugged in - PLEASE HELP

Hi Guys

I hope one of you might be able to help me. I have a 15" Mac Book Pro version 10.7.4 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 and suddenly it will no longer turn on unless plugged into the mains adapter, but the battery icon to the top right of the screen indicates the battery is fully charged and also the battery meter indicate full green lights.

Has anyone else had this problem? And if so how did you fix it???!

DOes it turn off if you unplug it?

I'd take it in for apple care. Are you near a store?

Reset SMC!

It could be a failing battery.

My old PBG4 12in use to do that.
After charge it says 100% but after unplugging and 2 min later, it would be down to 2%.
