2012 MBP

HELP! 2012 MBP HERE. My 2012 mbp turns on but won't stay on. When I turn it on, I see the apple logo on a white screen. After about 10 seconds or so it turns off. Battery should be fully charged. Any ideas? I'm scheduled to bring it in to apple on Wednesday. Is there a chance I lose everything on my laptop?

Yes, there's a chance you might lose what's on your drive. Tell them you have no backup if you don't. And tell them to try stuff before they resolve to replacing the hard drive if that's needed. And tell them you want to keep the hard drive afterwards so you can try to usb-connect it and restore data that way.

if you have a USB drive, you can try to install an OS on that and boot from it, maybe that gives you access to the drive on the system.
