Hey BestBuy has the 2012 for $1,699 with dGPU

Should I jut get that or the new one with no dGPU for $1,999?

How does the 2.0 ghz haswell score? Is it better than the baseline 2012 model?

I realy dont want to buy an outdated model even though it has much lower price tbh.

I also will do some light gaming with cs:go and other valve games or not too demanding ones, how does the iris pro 5200 handle these?

Its strange there reviews yet because he laptops are already out and the only ones are for the $2599 version.

Thanks

Well I went with the $1,699 8GB 250GB SSD 2,4 GHZ and gt 650M

Price was too good:) and almost no perf difference

I think you've got the early-2013 model, not the mid-2012. The entry mid-2012 has a 2.3GHz processor. It was bumped up to 2.4GHz in the February 2013 refresh.

I bought a refurbished mid-2012 15" rMBP a few weeks ago for $1599, believing that the October refresh would be an incremental one and not worth the difference in price. I'm still satisfied with the choice.

Enjoy your new Mac.

Hey, you too!

I got it 3 hours ago and loving it :D

It may be older, but it isn't "outdated." Actually, in performance terms, there's an argument to be made that it's actually superior, depending on your usage.

Those actually still remain the best bang for your buck. I'm probably ordering at least two more of them for family members in the next week.
