2012 rMBP battery woe's on mavericks

Basically i was getting crappy battery life on my 2012 13" , 4-5 hours MAX.


so i decided to test some things and found out when upgrading my os from a previous install was the issue , Upon fresh install i now have a 7-8 hour battery life.


hopefully this will help anyone with bad battery life after mavericks install.

Hey, i ordered an early 2013 rmbp 15 with 1gb 650m and want to upgrade the OS to maverick. Should i do a fresh install directly or try upgrading first? Is this issue with all the upgrades?
