2012 rmbp keyboard light issue

anyone know the hardware issue related to the keyboard light?

keyboard was washed and sent to someone to repair, the light was fine, they fixed the black screen issue, but after few days, i found my keyboard light isn`t on anymore regardless any "soft" resets, so i assume it would be hardware issue.

anyone know the steps to test keyboard light issues?(done smc reset btw)

did you try in low light environment? if you have automatic keyboard brightest set on, it will cause to turn off keyboard lights and not let you using it until laptop is in low light environment

I'm guessing you already tried the 'F6' key..........
