I have a 2013 15inch retina MacBook Pro display that keeps turning off randomly. (Just display, computer is still on). When the issue began it was infrequent and a restart would wake the display back up. Ive done a SMC and PRAM reset and they seemed to work at first . I saw this: https://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro-videoissues/ but I missed the window and Apple basically said tough luck. Thanks Apple.

My battery health is also at 40% and I thought maybe it is because of the dead battery however the issue happens even when computer is plugged in.

Any one know what this issue might be? Anyone think its the battery? I saw the issue really get worse when the battery hit 45% health.

I'd be willing to get it fixed and pay a 50$ diagnostic at Apple store but if its a new display or logic board repair it would be pointless. Thanks for any insight.
