I got a new 2013 Airport Extreme yesterday and have it acting as the DHCP and NAT server with the cable modem in bridge mode.

Everything was working fine until I woke up this morning and there was no internet connection. The light was green and devices connected to wifi fine, but there was no actual internet connection (neither wifi nor wired) until I power-cycled the Extreme.

Any idea what caused this?

Here are my settings:

Connect using: DHCP
Wireless: Create a wireless network
Router Mode: DHCP and NAT

The modem is an SBG6580 in bridge mode.

Yes, rebooting the Extreme immediately restored the connection. My concern is I've only had the Extreme for 24 hours before having to reboot it. I don't want to make this a daily routine.

I am sure it will be fine it may have just been having a moment :D

If it does happen regularly could possibly be an issue with the unit but i wouldn't worry too much yet.
