Ok so I still own an iBook g4 and I'm looking to upgrade. I'm just wondering if anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to get rid of this ibook? I'm not sure if this would even sell - seems to be no listings on ebay or craigslist. Anyone know any retailers that would do trade ins?

Give it to some kid who cannot afford a computer; donate it it a church or school for young kids to learn; etc. Lots of good can come from that computer, a lot more than a few bucks it will fetch if you sold it.

I've definitely seen them on eBay, and depending on model / specs / condition, they can still go for well over £100.

However, like marc11 says, there is still plenty of life in these laptops (I was using my own up until last year for internet browsing, word processing etc), and if you can find a good use for it, that would be fantastic.

Seen quite of few of these on eBay and Craig's going for $100-200. Had a co-worker with one. Change the battery and it's still a very suitable computer for light browsing.

There are lots of them on eBay, I sold one for about $140 just last week! However I upgraded the ram to 1.5 gb, and it was the 1.42 ghz model.

I would definitely recommend that you try ebay, lots of people still like the powerPC macs! (see the powerPC forum)

Whoops! Looks like I've totally neglected this thread. Sorry folks for the ones who answered. I actually gave it to my little 8 yr old cousin. She loved it. Thanks for all the suggestions folks.
