I am wondering if anyone with a new 27 2013 imac pre-installed with mavricks can try to see if he can boot from a mountain lion 10.8.5 (12F37) install disk.

Some of my software is not compatible with mavericks i was wondering if i buy the 2013 imacs that come preinstalled with mavericks if I can install mountain lion (12f37) on it? I know the 12f45 current retail image cannot boot them and that the last imac that came with 10.8.5 came with a special 12F2012 version. There are reports that the 12F37 was able to boot 2013 imac that came with mountain lion installed.

You said "Lion" up above a couple times when I think you meant "Mavericks."

Either way, what software are you using that isn't compatible with 10.9?
