When Yosemite comes out for public use later this month I'm thinking I want to start fresh and install it clean. I have a Fusion Drive on my 2013 27" iMac, and remember when I bought it that they advertised that the OS is installed on the SSD part so it loads faster.

My question is, when I do a clean install, do I have to do anything fancy to make sure I'm optimizing my system the way it came from the factory? Anyone want to help me with directions on the best way to install and take advantage of the fusion drive?

Thanks,

RYAN

make a bootable yosemite usb
restart your mac and hold option key at startup
select the install os x usb
go to disk utility and erase hard drive
then install os x

never used a fusion drive before but I'm assuming it will appear as one hard drive in disk utility and you just have to select macintosh hd and erase it then install os x

thats a screen shot of my mac it docent have fusion so yours will be a bit different
