Just got my new 2013 MBA - i7 1.7GHz CPU, 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD.

Geekbench 64-bit score of 8278
Integer: 6407
Floating: 11132
Memory: 6938
Stream: 7518

Pretty happy with these numbers - nearly 1,000 points better than my mid-2011 i7 2.7GhZ Mini.

I've been seeing more i7's in 64-bit popping up over the last two days as people receive their orders. All seem to have scores in the mid 8000's like yours. Can't wait to order mine!

In 64 bit with my i5/8/128 I get around 6800.
